A little bit of dark magic meets a whole lot of feline charm in Wicked Kitty, a wonderfully unusual slot from the team at Fantasma Games. This game puts a bewitching black cat center stage on a large 5x6 grid that features an expanding reel area and a special Wicked Respin feature. As a medium volatility slot, this title balances a frequent pace of play with the potential for big prizes collected via escalating multipliers.

How to Play Wicked Kitty

The design of Wicked Kitty starts with a 5x6 grid, but the number of available positions changes with the appearance of Blocker Symbols that cover some rows. You collect prizes by matching symbols across adjacent reels from the leftmost side (using up to 7,776 winning lines). To start, you set your play value and hit the spin button. The most important symbol is the Kitty Wild; when this Wild is part of a prize collection, it instantly triggers the main bonus feature and works to expand the game area.

Gameplay and Bonuses

The main excitement centers on the Wicked Respin feature. This is triggered when the Kitty Wild contributes to any prize collection. When activated, the reels expand by clearing some of the Blocker Symbols, and you receive one respin. This continues as long as new prizes are collected. Clearing a full row of Blocker Symbols grants a Wicked Multiplier that increases your next prize. If you clear all the Blocker Symbols, you trigger the Super Respin, which gives you two final respins with the fully expanded reel set and the highest possible multiplier applied to the collection. Landing three Scatter symbols triggers the Free Spins bonus, awarding extra spins and opportunities to build up those multipliers. If available, players can directly choose to play the feature, similar to other Fantasma slots like Cloud Corsairs and Wins Of Nautilus Megaways.

Our Verdict

This slot has a great concept, and I really like the way the Wicked Respin mechanic works, especially how clearing the Blocker Symbols expands your prize opportunities. The medium volatility means the wins hit often enough to keep the action flowing, which is a major positive since you're constantly aiming to clear those blockers. The prize potential is quite strong for a medium volatility game, making the goal of hitting that Super Respin a satisfying chase.
