How to Play Sunny Fruits 2: Hold and Win

Getting started is simple. The game unfolds on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 5 fixed winlines.

Once you’re set, just hit the spin button to get the reels moving.

Wins are awarded for matching three or more identical symbols along one of the winlines, starting from the far-left reel.

The reels are filled with juicy fruits like cherries, lemons, oranges, and plums, alongside higher-value melons, grapes, bells, and BARs.

The highest-value standard symbol is the iconic Red Seven, which also acts as the Wild. As the Wild, it can substitute for any other symbol—except the Sun Bonus symbol—to help you form winning combinations.

Keep an eye out for the glowing Sun Bonus symbols, as these are your key to unlocking the main game feature.

Gameplay and Special Features

The heart of the action in Sunny Fruits 2 is the Hold and Win game feature. This is triggered when you land six or more Sun Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels in a single spin. When this happens, the screen transforms, and the triggering Sun symbols lock into place.

You are granted three re-spins to start. The goal is to land as many additional Sun Bonus symbols as you can. Every time a new Sun lands, it also locks in place, and your re-spin counter resets to three, keeping the excitement going. Each Sun symbol comes with a multiplier value, ranging from x1 to x15 your play value.

During the feature, you might also land symbols for the Mini, Minor, and Major jackpots, which award fixed prize amounts. The real star of the show, however, is the Super Sun Bonus symbol. When it appears, it gathers all the values from the other Sun symbols currently on the screen and adds them to its own total, creating the potential for a massive collective reward.

If you successfully fill all 15 positions on the grid with symbols, you’ll receive the Grand Jackpot, a massive prize worth x5,000 your play value. With the combined values from all symbols, the total win can climb as high as x10,000. For those who want to get right to it, the game also includes a feature to play the Hold and Win round directly.

Our Verdict

Sunny Fruits 2: Hold and Win is a fantastic sequel that improves upon the original in every way. It respects the classic fruit machine formula while elevating the experience with the high-stakes Hold and Win mechanic. The high volatility means that while wins may be less frequent, the potential for large rewards is always there, making each spin a thrilling prospect.

The addition of the Super Sun Bonus symbol is a game-changer, adding a new layer of strategy and anticipation to the re-spins feature. The graphics are sharp, the gameplay is smooth, and the potential for a x10,000 max win is a huge draw.

This is a top-tier fruit slot that offers pure, unadulterated fun. Come give it a spin at PlayFame!
