Merge Up is a gem-themed slot from BGaming that uses the Clusters mechanic. This means that instead of waiting for lines to form, you are looking for four or more of the same symbol to appear in any formation where they are connected to one another. When the symbols form a cluster they merge together and turn into a higher value symbol, and so on until they form Scatters. The RTP here is an excellent 97.25% - much higher than the majority of slots – but to hit the big rewards you will need to activate that bonus round by finding four or more scatters. Not easy to do, but you can always skip the waiting period by choosing the Play the Feature option.

Key Features of Merge Up:

Merge Up Feature: Form clusters of four or more identical symbols to trigger the merging process, where winning symbols disappear, and remaining ones upgrade to higher-level symbols, enhancing winning potential.
Free Spins: Landing four or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels activates the Free Spins round, awarding 15 to 20 spins based on the number of scatters. During this feature, winning clusters generate sticky Cell Multipliers that can increase up to 128x, significantly boosting potential rewards.
Cell Multipliers: During Free Spins, each winning cluster adds a multiplier to the cell, which remains sticky and can increase with consecutive wins, applying to subsequent winning combinations.
Play the Feature: Players have the option to purchase direct entry into the Free Spins round for 100 times their current play amount, providing immediate access to the game's most rewarding feature.
Chance x2: This feature allows players to increase their play amount by 25% to double the chances of triggering the Free Spins round, adding a strategic element to the gameplay.

Merge Up is a game for patient players – this is a high volatility slot so you will have to wait for those big big wins, but they are certainly worth waiting for.

Casino Kings Verdict:

“We sometimes like to play pretty chill, but sometimes we’ll go for a game that’s extreme-volatility, with max wins, where something crazy can happen. With Merge Up we’ve played with Gold Coins and hit some pretty insane multipliers so now we’re trying to hit another insane win.”
