How to Play Mega Greatest Catch

Setting off with Harry is a breeze on this 5x4 layout. To secure a prize, you need to match three or more identical symbols along one of the 12 fixed win-lines, starting from the leftmost reel. The symbols are full of personality, featuring fishing tackle, lifebuoys, and various colorful fish, alongside stylized card symbols.

In the base game, your focus is on landing the golden fish Scatter symbols. Three or more of these will unlock the main bonus feature. While the fisherman Harry acts as the Wild symbol, he stays tucked away until the free spins begin, where he becomes the key to reeling in all the fish on the grid. Gameplay and Bonuses

The true excitement in Mega Greatest Catch is found in its Free Spins round. Depending on how many Scatters you land, you receive 10, 15, or 20 spins. During this mode, the Harry Wild symbol appears on any reel. Whenever he lands at the same time as fish symbols, he collects all the prize values shown on them and adds them to your total for that round.

Each Wild that lands also fills a "buoy" on the progress bar at the top of the screen. Every fourth buoy awards 10 additional free spins and increases a win multiplier for the collection feature. This multiplier starts at 2x and can climb as high as 10x. Additionally, the Dynamite feature can trigger after any losing spin if a Wild is present; Harry tosses dynamite into the water, transforming regular symbols into high-value fish. This combination of multipliers and random triggers ensures that the pond stays active throughout the bonus round.

Our Verdict

Mega Greatest Catch is a fantastic follow-up that I personally found much more engaging than the original version. I really liked the addition of the extra row and the 12 win-lines, which make the base game feel more dynamic. The visuals are crisp, and the "napping fisherman" theme adds a layer of humor that is often missing from more serious slots.

While players on community forums have noted that the 10x multiplier can be a challenge to reach, the journey through the progression bar provides a real sense of accomplishment. I think this slot is perfect for players who want a polished, modern fishing game that offers a high top prize and plenty of variety in its bonus features. It is a very high-quality effort from Evoplay that balances a calm atmosphere with explosive win potential. If you are looking for a reliable and entertaining fishing trip, Harry’s wooden boat is a great place to start.
