How To Play: Face Off

Getting started with this game is simple because it uses a clear layout that focuses on the confrontation between symbols. The game begins on a compact grid, but it has the potential to expand as you hit winning combinations. Instead of standard lines, it uses a system where matching symbols on adjacent reels create wins.

There are up to 100 win-lines available when the grid is fully open. The symbols feature various masked characters, each with their own level of intensity. Landing the most menacing masks will result in higher values for your spin.

One of the most interesting parts of the gameplay is how the symbols interact after a win. When you land a successful combination, those symbols are knocked out and new ones drop into their place. This can lead to multiple wins from a single spin. Additionally, there is a special multiplier that increases with every consecutive win during these drops, which adds to the suspense of the round. We have an expansive cascading reels library if this is your type of game!

If you want to face the ultimate challenge, you should look out for the bonus symbols. Landing three or more of these will trigger the free spins round. During this part of the game, the grid stays expanded, giving you more ways to win on every single turn. There is also an option to play the feature directly if you want to jump straight into the action.

I found that the eerie masks and the expanding grid kept the game feeling very fast-paced and quite different from the usual lighthearted themes.
