Energy Joker is a medium-to-high volatility slot, meaning you should expect a balance of smaller wins mixed with big prizes. The Return to Player (RTP) is 95.74%. It uses a standard 5-reel, 3-row layout, but with a simple 5 win-line structure. The biggest prize you can aim for is the Grand Jackpot, fixed at 5,000 times the value of your play.

How to Play Energy Joker Hold and Win

The game is played on a classic 5x3 grid with only 5 win-lines, which is simple and easy to track. To secure a win, you must match three or more identical symbols along one of the win-lines. The symbols include traditional fruit machine icons like cherries, lemons, plums, and the high-paying lucky number 7.

The Joker acts as the Wild symbol, substituting for any pay symbols to help complete or improve your line wins. The main goal is to activate the Bonus Round. This can be triggered in two ways: first, by landing six or more Bonus and/or Collect symbols, or second, randomly when at least one Bonus symbol is collected in the pile of gold coins above the grid.

Gameplay and Bonuses

The true power of Energy Joker lies in its Hold and Win Bonus Round. When launched, the triggering symbols (which have cash values from 1x to 10x your play) become sticky, and you start with three respins. The respins reset to three every time a new non-blank symbol lands.

This bonus round features three special symbols that upgrade your wins:

Multiplier Symbols: These appear with values up to x10, and their value is added to a position multiplier before the symbol is removed.
Collector Symbols: These absorb the values of all currently visible Bonus symbols (including the jackpots!) and remain sticky on the grid.
Jackpot Symbols: You can land Mini (25x), Minor (50x), or Major (150x) jackpots, which can also be boosted by the position multipliers.

The ultimate target is the 5,000x Grand Jackpot, which is awarded if you fill all 15 positions on the grid with any sticky bonus symbol before your respins run out.

Our Verdict

Energy Joker Hold and Win is a fun slot that successfully adds a modern, electric feel to the classic fruit machine theme. I found that while the base game can be quiet due to the few win-lines, the Hold and Win feature is truly exciting.

The bonus round shines because the Collector symbols and upgradable position multipliers provide a unique way to build large prizes. The 5,000x jackpot potential is reasonable for this volatility level. If you enjoy classic visuals but demand a high-powered, jackpot-focused bonus feature, this Playson title is an excellent choice for a charged playing session.
