How to Play Cherry Boom

Cherry Boom is played on a traditional 5-reel setup, though the exact number of winning lines isn't the key focus here. Instead, you're primarily aiming to land winning combinations of high-value fruit symbols and Wild symbols that substitute for others to complete those sequences. The ultimate goal, however, is collecting the special "7" symbols in the base game. Unlike most games where you trigger a bonus instantly, collecting these symbols acts as a meter that eventually grants entry into the coveted Bonus Game, which is where the four fixed jackpots become available.

Game Features

The biggest excitement lies in the Bonus Game, which is triggered once you collect 9, 12, or 15 of the "7" symbols during your regular play. Once initiated, you get a chance to win one of the game's four fixed jackpots: the Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand prize. The number of "7" symbols you collect determines your opportunity to win a larger jackpot, adding a fun element of sustained chase to the gameplay. Additionally, the game includes Wild symbols to help complete regular winning sequences. For players who are focused on the fastest path to the main event, the game offers the option to play the feature immediately, skipping the collection phase to jump straight to the jackpot potential.

Our Verdict

Cherry Boom is a great choice for players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward action. The high volatility means you'll need patience, but the potential for huge spikes in winnings, especially when chasing the Grand Jackpot, makes the wait worthwhile. We appreciate OnlyPlay's decision to integrate the jackpot chase directly into the regular play via the "7" symbol collection mechanic; it gives every spin a clear secondary goal. The downside for some might be the slow buildup to that main Bonus Game. Overall, the explosive theme and excellent jackpot opportunities make this a thrilling fruit machine experience.
