Gameplay and Feature Rounds

The heart of this game lies in its dual-feature structure, which provides plenty of excitement and the potential for major returns. Players can explore various themes on PlayFame, but pirate-themed titles like this one remain exceptionally popular due to their interactive mechanics.

First, the popular Hold & Win mechanic is activated when you land six or more of the special Chest symbols anywhere on the reels on a single spin. Once triggered, the screen transforms, and all of the triggering Chest symbols lock in place. You start the round with three respins, and the goal is to land as many additional Chest symbols as possible. Each new Chest that lands will also lock in place and instantly reset your respin counter back to three.

This round also introduces a unique Whirlpool symbol that can arrive at random. When the Whirlpool lands, it moves the current Chests into more optimal positions on the reels, helping you organize the grid and making it easier to fill the screen. The feature round continues until you run out of respins or manage to fill all 15 positions on the screen. At the end of the round, the Chests transform into special reels to reveal cash values or one of three fixed jackpots: Mini, Minor, or Major. If you successfully fill the entire grid, you will trigger a shot at the massive Grand Jackpot, which is worth up to x5,000 your spin value.

In addition to the main prize round, the Free Spins game is triggered by landing three, four, or five Ship Scatter symbols, rewarding you with 10, 12, or 15 free spins. During this round, any Gold Coin Wild that lands on the reels becomes sticky and remains locked in place for the rest of the feature. Even better, these sticky Wilds can carry random multipliers to boost your winline rewards.

If you want to jump straight into the action, there is also the option to play the feature directly. For a cost of x100 your total spin value, you can immediately trigger the Free Spins game, landing a random selection of three to five Scatter symbols on the very next spin.

Our Verdict

This sequel is an impressive follow-up to a classic pirate adventure, delivering clean visuals and highly engaging gameplay. The dual-feature system keeps things interesting, as you can look forward to both the sticky multiplier Wilds in the Free Spins game and the classic cash collect action in the Hold & Win round. The inclusion of the Whirlpool symbol is a great design choice, helping to save slow rounds by reorganizing symbols. The maximum win of x5,000 adds excellent potential to the experience. Overall, N2 has crafted a robust and satisfying title that stands out in the crowded genre of ocean treasures.
