Note that the Sacred Book symbol also acts as a Wild to substitute for any other standard symbol to help complete winning patterns.

Gameplay and Bonuses

The slot offers two major special features that completely elevate the gameplay. The first is the standard Free Games feature, which triggers when you land three or more Scattered book symbols anywhere on the reels in a single spin. This instantly awards you 10 free spins, along with an immediate scatter reward of up to 200x your play value. Before the spins begin, a standard symbol is randomly chosen to turn gold and act as the expanding symbol. During the free spins, after standard wins are rewarded, any gold symbols on the reels will expand vertically to cover their entire reels and reward you on all active winlines.

What makes Chapter 2 SE completely unique is that the special Orb prize symbol can also be selected as the gold symbol. If the Orb is chosen, it will expand to fill the entire reel when it lands, counting as three individual Orbs. This massively increases your chances of triggering the game's second major feature, the Jackpot Mania.

The Jackpot Mania is triggered when six or more Orb prize symbols (or gold expanded Orbs) land on the reels in a single spin. This launches a hold-and-respin feature where the triggering Orbs lock in place, and you receive three respins. The reels only spin to reveal empty spaces or additional Orbs. Each new Orb that lands locks in place and resets your spin count back to three.

The Orbs carry random prize values or specific fixed jackpot tags: Mini, Minor, or Major. If you manage to fill all 15 grid positions with Orbs before you run out of respins, you will win the Grand Jackpot, awarding a massive prize of 5,000x your total play value.

Additionally, as a Special Edition title, players can choose to play the feature directly for 100x their play level, instantly triggering the Free Games round. Whether you enjoy playing early in the morning or around 6-7pm (PT), this high-volatility quest offers high-quality action with every spin.

Our Verdict

This Special Edition title is a remarkably deep and highly polished sequel that successfully builds upon its predecessor. RubyPlay has done a great job of combining classic expanding book mechanics with an enhanced hold-and-respin system, creating a highly rewarding dual-feature structure. The visual quality is spectacular, presenting glowing relics and smooth transitions that keep the gameplay fluid and immersive. The medium-high volatility strikes a fine balance, ensuring steady play in the base game while allowing players to chase massive prizes in the special features.
