How to Play Black Wolf 2

Setting off on this midnight hunt is straightforward on the 5x4 grid. To secure a win, you need to match three or more identical symbols along one of the 25 fixed win-lines, starting from the leftmost reel. The symbols feature a beautiful array of forest dwellers, including moose, eagles, and mountain lions, alongside the higher-value Black Wolf.

The Black Wolf serves as the Wild symbol and can substitute for regular icons to help complete your win-lines. One of the most important things to watch for are the glowing moon symbols and the Boost icons. Landing six or more of these special symbols will unlock the main bonus event. Gameplay and Bonuses

The true energy of Black Wolf 2 is found in the Hold and Win bonus and the unique Fortune Slide mechanic. When the bonus triggers, you are awarded three respins where only prize-bearing moons or special icons land. Each new symbol resets the counter. A standout addition in this sequel is the Fortune Slide, which sits above the reels during the bonus and shows a queue of high-value symbols. Whenever a Mystery symbol lands, it transforms into the first symbol in that queue, which could be a Boost or even a Jackpot icon.

The game also features a Free Spins round, triggered by landing three huntress Scatters. During these spins, more Boost and Bonus symbols are added to the reels, making it much easier to enter the Hold and Win round. If you fill all 20 spots on the grid during the respins, you are awarded the Grand Jackpot worth 2,000x your play value. For those who want to see the moonlit action immediately, you can go straight to the feature through the dedicated menu. This combination of the slide mechanic and the boosted symbols ensures that the hunt is always dynamic.

Our Verdict

Black Wolf 2 is a very polished and high-quality sequel that I found to be a significant step up from the original. I personally liked the Fortune Slide mechanic the most; it adds a layer of strategy to the respins because you can actually see which big rewards are coming up next in the queue. The graphics are much sharper in this version, and the atmospheric sounds of the forest really help set a professional mood.

Players on community forums have commented that the "Bonus Accum" mechanic is a nice touch, as it feels like every near-miss with bonus symbols is actually helping you move closer to an eventual trigger. While the 2,000x top prize is standard for this type of slot, I feel the medium volatility makes the journey through the woods feel very consistent. It is a solid effort from 3 Oaks Gaming that captures the spirit of the wild perfectly. If you are looking for a reliable, animal-themed game with a modern bonus twist, this wolf pack is a great one to join.
