How to Play Big Catch Craze

Setting up on the boat is easy with this 5x3 layout. To secure a win, you need to match three or more symbols along one of the 20 fixed win-lines, starting from the leftmost reel. The symbols are beautifully designed, featuring golden bass, lures, tackle boxes, and fishing rods, alongside colorful card suits.

The fisherman stands to the left of the grid and plays a major role in every play. In the base game, he can randomly cast his net to catch Money symbols—the bass—that carry random prize values. Unlike some other fishing games, these values aren't just for show; the net can scoop them up at any time. If you land five or more of these Money symbols at once, you trigger the Sticky Fish Respins, where the fish lock in place for a chance at a bigger cluster.

Gameplay and Bonuses

The true excitement in Big Catch Craze is found in the Free Spins round, triggered by landing three or more Scatter symbols. You start with 7 spins, but every extra Scatter you land during the feature upgrades the size of the Fisherman’s Net and grants an additional spin. As the net grows, it covers more of the grid, making it much easier to collect every fish prize that appears.

On the very last spin of the round, the net is cast over the entire grid for a final, massive collection. If you triggered the feature with five or more fish, you enter the Sticky Fish Respins mode within the bonus, where every fish that lands stays locked for the remainder of the spins. This creates a cumulative effect that can lead to that x10,000 top prize. If you want to dive straight into the deep end, the 'play the feature' menu allows you to choose between standard spins or the Max Bonus round for a set value. For another fishing adventure, you should give Mega Greatest Catch a go. And there's more fish catching going on at Ocean Catch by Evoplay.

Our Verdict

Big Catch Craze is a fantastic example of a modern fishing slot that doesn't feel like a simple clone of older games. I personally found the Fisherman’s Net mechanic to be the highlight, as the way it grows during the free spins creates a real sense of mounting excitement. The visuals are incredibly sharp, and the 20 win-lines make the base game feel more active than many 10-line competitors.

Reddit users and early players have commented that the "Sticky Fish" mechanic in the bonus round is where the real potential lives, as it can fill the grid very quickly. While the high volatility means you might have some quiet moments, the 10,000x max win and the 96.02% RTP make the wait feel worth it. I think this slot is perfect for fans of the genre who want something that looks and plays a bit more like a modern video game. It is a polished, professional release from Avatar UX that really stands out on the platform.
