How to Play Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is played on a larger-than-average 6×4 reel layout, which utilizes 25 fixed winning lines. Other games by Habanero like Rainbow Mania use a more traditional 5x3 setup, so this is something of a departure. Winning sequences are formed by matching symbols from left to right along these lines. The symbols are thematic, featuring magical ingredients and creatures from Baba Yaga's world. A key mechanic is the Super Play option, which players can activate to increase the chance of triggering the main bonus round. Additionally, the base game features large Wild symbols that can drop in as 2×2, 3×3, or even massive 4×4 symbols, dramatically increasing your potential for a win.

Game Features

The primary feature is the Free Games bonus, triggered by landing three or more Scatter symbols (the iconic image of Baba Yaga’s house). Landing three, four, five, or six Scatters awards 10, 12, 20, or an impressive 50 Free Games, respectively. During this bonus, the exciting Roaming Wilds feature comes to life: any Wild symbols that land become sticky and move to an adjacent position on every subsequent spin. Even better, after every eight wins collected during the Free Games, the Wild symbols will upgrade to the next largest size, growing from 2×2 up to 4×4 symbols and bringing along extra Free Games. If you prefer not to wait for the Scatters, you also have the option to play the feature directly from the base game.

Our Verdict

Baba Yaga offers a deeply immersive experience with phenomenal design, though its high volatility means you need to be prepared for dry spells while chasing those Free Games. When the bonus hits, the Roaming Wilds and the ability of those Wilds to grow in size can generate seriously thrilling sequences and massive wins, especially with the potential for up to 50 initial Free Games. The optional Super Play is a nice addition if you want to increase your odds of bonus entry. If you appreciate games with a strong atmosphere and big payout potential hidden inside a dynamic Free Games feature, we think you'll enjoy this mystical adventure.
