Our Verdict

12 Skulls of the Dead delivers a well-designed Mexican fiesta experience with layered mechanics that keep gameplay engaging.

The combination of Epic Strike instant wins and the Rising Rewards multiplier system creates multiple paths to solid returns.

The progressive Free Spins round with expanding reels adds tension as you work through the eight levels.

The x3,000 max win sits in the moderate range, but the multi-level progression and multiplier stacking make every session feel dynamic.

The 3-spin starting point in Free Spins may seem limited, but the reset mechanic when reaching new levels extends play significantly. High volatility means wins come less frequently but can be substantial when they hit.

The visual design captures the Day of the Dead celebration with rich colors and festive audio. Controls are straightforward, and the game runs smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices.

This slot works well for players who enjoy feature-rich games with clear progression goals.
